The Museums Island in Schleswig is the largest museum experience between Hamburg and Copenhagen. Although Gottorf Castle is temporarily closed due to renovation and modernisation works, the Museum of Archaeology continues to host fascinating exhibitions in the historic buildings surrounding the castle.
